Now that I have let you go, the tears now subside.
As I run across photos with your love at your side, smiles bright and love in your eyes.
I know my decision was right, I realize I’m only an object of desire and nothing more.
I can hold my head high and know that I have done what is best.
I will always look out and wonder why time was never on my side.
